Living Libraries
At Living Libraries, we believe in the power of partnerships to amplify our mission and create a lasting impact. Through collaborations with a diverse network of organizations and educational institutions, we bring literacy programs, resources, and support to students and communities that need them most. These partnerships allow us to extend our reach, enriching young minds and fostering a love for reading in environments that span traditional classrooms, libraries, after-school programs, and beyond.
Our partnerships with Title I, Private, and Charter Schools enable us to deliver customized literacy programs that cater to the unique needs of each educational setting. By working closely with these schools, we ensure that students, regardless of background, have access to quality literacy resources that nurture their growth and academic success. We also collaborate with Libraries to promote reading as a lifelong journey, making books and learning materials readily available to children and families in their communities.
Beyond the classroom, Living Libraries partners with organizations like The Girl Scouts Hornets Nest Council and The Creative Players Association to incorporate literacy programs into extracurricular activities. These partnerships help us reach children in after-school programs and community networks, reinforcing the importance of literacy in diverse aspects of life. Books with Color, Inc. and the Authors Alliance further support our mission by connecting us with authors and books that reflect a wide range of voices and experiences, helping students see themselves in the stories they read.
Our commitment to literacy extends into the home and community through the Home School Networks and the LiLi Ambassadors Network. These collaborations allow us to support families who educate at home and connect with passionate advocates who bring our programs to new areas. Additionally, through our partnership with Classroom Central and the LiTeach Distribution initiative, we distribute books, educational materials, and other resources to classrooms in need, ensuring that every child has the tools to succeed.
